My remote is faulty and intermittently stops working. Takes me ages to jiggle it and make it work. It also seems to eat batteries!

Try the information on the link below, if it's still not working correctly press the "still need help" button on the last page to call Sky who might replace it for you.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Juleshas My remote also got through batteries at a rate of knots so I phoned Sky and they replaced it for me. The new one has been fine.
To get your remote working again (it won't help with the batteries) you could try the following which sounds stupid but it has worked for many people on the forum (including me when I dropped it and it stopped working). Hold the remote at both ends and give it a gentle twist as though you were wringing out a cloth.
If you still have trouble follow the link give by @Tim+Adams and request a replacement.
While waiting for a replacement you can use a SKy Q remote if you have one available.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Jporch316 Agreed but there was no indication how long @Juleshas has had the Glass / remote so it might have been on of the older problematic ones particularly as some of the old remotes also have the short battery life 😀
It might not resolve the issue but worth a try.

I would like to think all those remotes are now replaced!
Thanks,

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Tim+Adams Yes hopefully but of course people who have had their remote for more than a few months will still have the old ones.
They can always check as the newer ones have a white dot under the batteries 😀
