Re: Live TV missing
Hi, not heard of this one before. Maybe the sky servers (which seem to be really overloaded, causing customer issues), are struggling.
I wish there was an option to have the live epg and bbc iplayer removed from one's sky account & service.
This way, those of us who use on-demand only, could stop the constant demanding money with menaces letters we get from tv licencing.
I only watch on-demand with my stream, so no tv tax required.

If you only watch on demand then you would be much better off using a streaming device which allows you to choose the apps and streaming services you want to use. The live channel streams and EPG are really the main USP of Sky Stream, so if you don't use them there are plenty other options out there.
A Firestick, Roku, Android TV, or Apple TV box will allow you to not install BBC iPlayer. You can install the NOW TV app for Sky programming and any other apps you wish, including all the ones Sky allow you access to on Stream.

Re: Live TV missing
HI, not sure I agree.
Turning on the puck, one gets ones playlist and recommendations. Home screen offers all the streaming platroms & the playlist comibes all of the programes I am currently watching in one place, no matter the treaming platform.
To get to live tv, it is three button presses.
If sky stream wanted their platform to be for predominantly live watching, epg would pop up first.
Sky used to have a good selection of channels, making it a good option to subscribe to. Howver it has got its **bleep** whipped by all the streaming services and many previous content suppliers now streaming on their own platform, rather than selling programming rights.
This is why sky now bundles disney, hbo etc. Not because they want to, but because they have no choice if they want to survive.
Sky have bundled other streamers within one sub package, and gives a discount on others if bundled with sky.
Doing this has kept Sky relevant as we move into streaming-wars. I just hope taco-bell does not win.
Puck has issues, I think due to overloaded sky servers & lack of hardware investment, but overall still is a better option for me than a streaming box with all the different apps and subscriptions for the different services being paid individually.
Will be interesting to see where we get in five years time. TV viewing tax revenue is rapidly declining, as the younger generation have moved away from linear television broadcast and many others are outraged at the scandals at the bbc and want no part in contributing money to the bbc or pensions to the likes of huge king-edwards.
