So the puck will go back into standby mode quite quickly, if you leave it on the home page or leave it paused on a live channel. You need to pick up the remote in order to reset the timer that controls this (apparently this is implemented due to energy saving requirements). What i have noticed is that on some of the apps, you can leave it paused for longer without the puck going back into standby. I'm guessing the system is still told its active if an app is open, which may be why it takes a lot longer for it to then go into standby mode.
