Puck plug doesn’t fit behind tv

Plug socket on puck is 3" deep and doesn't fit behind my wall mounted TVs?

stream advertises no cables I had TVs wall mounted cabling sunk in walls, now stream arrived and plug won't fit behind wall bracket??

what do I do? Why is plug so big? Can it be changed for a normal flat plug??

surely any wall mounted tv will have this issue and we took advice before having work done just never expected this plug??

Sky Stream still needs to connect to your TV via an HDMI cable so I don't know where you read the 'no cables' thing.

That is Sky Glass advertising not Stream: "The only TV with Sky Inside. So you can stream every channel, show and app over WiFi. No dish. No box. No fuss"

@Simo1 The plug is needed as it has a transformer inside to ensure the power supplied to stream box is the correct rating, sky are unable to to supply an alternative. Googling Sky stream plug would have shown you the type of plug supplied.

I guess you could look at using an extension lead behind the TV some how?

@Simo1 placing any wifi connected behind a wall mounted TV is asking for problems as TVs contain a lot of metal that blocks the signal. Why not connect the puck away from the TV and use a HDMI cable to link to the TV?

Re: Puck plug doesn’t fit behind tv

Use one of those plugs with 2 connectors and plug your puck on the top connector so it sits vertically

Re: Puck plug doesn’t fit behind tv

It's actually a terrible design by Sky I had to use a 1 outlet short extension lead so the plug would aim up and not directly behind TV, next problem is the fact it uses infa red instead of Bluetooth for the controller so needs to be line of site not sure what Sky designers were thinking all everyone wants are cables and boxes hidden not possible with this.

The remote does use Bluetooth and does not require line of sight.

Try re-pairing your remote by following the istructions on the second page of this troubleshooting guide:

@Kingy22

Stream remotes have both Bluetooth and IR, but the IR is for basic control of non-Sky television sets and audio equipment.

Voice Control cannot function over IR: it requires Bluetooth bandwidth.

Re: Puck plug doesn’t fit behind tv

So does that mean it will not work on a non sky TV,(bluetooth  remote)?

If there's a remote code, a Stream remote should control volume on a non-Sky television.
