An easy resolution to this is trying a restart of your Sky Stream box

Go to Settings>Systems Management>Resets & Updates
Select Restart device

Your Sky Stream puck will perform a reboot. It will take a few minutes to complete

Re: Picture pixelating and going black , sky puck

We have this problem to and yes, the only solution is to cold restart the puck by disconnecting the power cable waiting 10 seconds and reconnecting. But why should we need to get up and do this each time. The problem is clearly with the puck because it works fine  for the rest of the program and later, something else happens in the network (tv, sound system, Ethernet switch) which causes the problem again. Very frustrating.

Some people on this forum recommend the purchase of a smart plug so that you can kill the power to your Stream puck using an app on your mobile phone, therefore negating the need to get up out of your chair to go to the power socket.

A full power cycle at the wall seems to be a regular solution offered up to many Sky Stream and Glass problems, so perhaps it's worth considering?

Thanks, sounds like a good idea. Hopefully Sky will fix the problem in the puck in due course....
