I had now tv with TalkTalk and it was good, but not through their streaming box. left TalkTalk due to very poor, substandard equipment. I joined them in feb this year and by June we'd had three replacement tv hubs and was just about to have the second broadband hub replaced. Never have I dealt with such poor service. The only thing that was ok were the customer service agents. I feel sorry for talktalk's call centre staff. I had to get CISAS to step in. Sky have mostly been good over the years, so I took a punt and came back. Not regretting that decision yet. Stream was glitching a little, so followed their advice and no problems since.

@squareeyeschris shame it's come to this for both of us. For what it's worth I haven't seen any of the pixilation or tearing issues on NOW that we both saw on SKY STREAM. Keeping everything crossed for you.

You will see exactly the same pixelation issues with Now Tv that you have been seeing on sky stream. This is a broadcast issue, even virgin media customers using their stream service are seeing the issue. It is affecting all services that sky stream to, sky stream/glass and virgin media stream.
The only real difference you will notice with sky sports on Now Tv is a 60 second delay on live sports. Make sure you turn any goal notifications off on your phone

Just had a massive one during the Spurs/City game. Entire screen went green/pixelated

The issue with many of these problems relate to the fact that the sky stream box wasn't made specifically for the uk market. The sky stream box insides are what Xfinity designed for the US market - the Xfinity XIone. Sky should have tested and designed the box for just the uk or at the most the European market. Cost saving here has been detrimental. When you look at products prior to sky stream, such as all the previous satellite box, including Q, they were designed, tested and used exclusively for sky customers. The Xfinity XIOne is a poor mass produced product that was made for the US market

So basically, it's not so much a software issue, but in fact, a hardware issue?

The XiOne is the first Comcast connected streaming device that will be made available to all its global customers across Comcast’s Xfinity and Sky operations, and to its syndication partners.
Sky Stream is just branding, the box you are using is the Xfinity XiOne, see above. Made for the mass American Market by Comcast

Lucky then, that NowTv doesn't use an XiOne box, otherwise I might t be seeing exactly the same pixelation issues with Now Tv that I have been seeing on sky stream.

Do you have the Now Tv Box, or do you use the Now TV App on your TV or device?
Thanks.

The pixelisation issue isn't actually anything to do with the box. It's a broadcast issue

Pixelated again last night in Spurs v Man City UHD.

Yep been seeing this the past few days - it's not pixelating, more like smearing while decoding.
It is intermittent and I see the same spearing on different channels
Internet is good (140mbps) and no dropouts
Along with this I have seen the puck turn off from time to time - not had either of these before

Doesn't matter how fast your broadband is. This is a broadcast issue. Ie a fault in how sky are transmitting the picture. It has nothing to do with your box or your broadband and there is nothing you can do to change/improve it.

Apart from cutting the power and doing a reset, what do you do?
Could Sky fix it if they wanted to, or is it beyond their control?

So you're saying the steam is incorrectly encoded. That would mean everyone would see the same issue at the same time.
