Paramount + Offer issue

So according to VIP, Diamond members can receive Paramount Plus free for a year.

I have tried on the Tv, Laptop & mobile device.

But each time it asks me to agree to payment before proceeding.

 

has anyone else had this issue and found a way around it.

Is it asking for payment or just a payment method? I believe you have to provide a payment method for when the offer ends. If you cancel before the offer ends you never pay anything.

It asks for payment thru Google Play.

When following the steps that SKY has stated, it differs and that is on all platforms, i'm a bit dubious to having to pay for a free service.

You have to enter payment details, but then if you've used the link in Sky VIP a promotional code will be added and you won't be charged.

Done that, it offered me a 7 day free trial then it would charge me.

@gary+in+a+bad+mood just checking if you are a new Paramount + subscriber.

 

I believe in the T&Cs of the offer prevent current or returning Paramount + subscribers from being able to use it.

I don't think a current or returning subscriber would get a 7 day trial either. 
There are currently a lot of threads on Paramount Plus problems.

I just lost £4.99 trying to get my free trial. I've had one before so maybe I'm not eligible, but then I shouldn't have been offered it. The instructions did say you can sign into Paramount with an existing logon, which suggested to me that it would still be a valid trial. I've now got a month to try to find something worth watching.

It will be offered to everyone, as they won't know who will be eligible or not, particularly when, if inclined, you could subscribe as a new Paramount + customer using a different email address to take advantage of the offer.

 

All the details are in the T&Cs, and if you are eligble and try to use the offer it will essentially ignore it and Paramount + would only let you subscribe at the normal price instead of applying the offer.
