You know, I've banged on about this enough over time, but it's getting to be a joke now.
Slowly catching up with this weeks Grand Slam of Darts, and now I find that last night episode is just totally missing from the playlist. It's bad enough that its so haphazard with some in "series 1" and others in "other" and then last years final hanging around at the start of the playlist but for it to be missing altogether is unacceptable.
I suppose I should be grateful the partial UHD feeds are there now, seeing as I pay for that service, but there must be a better way to get the content to subscribers rather than for me to just have to listen out for the commentators telling me "welcome to viewers on SS ME" so I can switch the feed.
Goodness me, if the programme is being filmed in UHD then surely in this day and age it is not impossible to just just catch up viewers access to the WHOLE session in UHD - utter madness the amount of hoop jumping involved in what is a pricey service.
I basically subscribe JUST for the darts. I've a few other things playlisted, but as I've found others say, I'll be on maybe episode 4 or 5 of Never Mind the Buzzcocks (or another show), not watch any for a few weeks, and then go back to the playlist and it's forgotton what episodes I've watched - and that's not if it's just got rid of the series link altogether.
As someone who works in I.T. this is just a big fat mess. In my opinion it is an unreliable, lacklustre service.
I cannot wait until the World Champ Darts starts next month where I can also look forward to missing sessions, maybe some will be cut off at the end if they overrun, just like last year.
Luckily, I am tech savvy enough, so my 50 quid PDC sub will come in handy along with that VPN. Why on earth I am paying Sky 10 times that amount I am seriously asking myself...
