I have very limited knowledge of technology. I've got no pictures on any channel, just a blank,black screen please help

Have you tried unplugging the puck from the mains for a few seconds and plugging back in? I assume you are getting the menu text?

If you don't even see the Sky Stream Home page then that sounds like your TV isn't on the correct HDMI input that your stream puck is connected to.

Also worth checking the HDMI cable is inserted correctly to the HDMI connectors on the TV and the stream puck.
