Re: New Sky OS 2.0

Noticed another thing.

In "my library" I clicked on "Recordings view all", deleted recordings and schedules I did not need anymore. Then I went back to the main "My library" by clicking back button, on this page next to the "recordings view all" tile most of the recordings I just deleted were still listed. Clicked on "recordings view all" again to check I had deleted them and under "All recordings" sure enough they were all deleted. Went back to "My library" page, next to the "recordings view all" tile they were still listed, clicked on one and selected "Delete" , a message saying recordings deleted appeared and only then did the "My library" page sync and all the deleted recordings disappeared from this page.

Also just now when switching on puck, no live TV playing, checked setting and it's still set to play live TV on startup.

No I don't believe it was during an ad break.

What I did notice is the point when I initially pressed enter button to stop forwarding,1h36 in, is the same time playback restarted when after going via home screen and back into my library.  So even though the program kept forwarding, it was not logged, just a bug showing connect forwarding.

Two things from me

1. Just encountered a bug when viewing F1 qualifying, forwarding through pre amble to get to qualifying start, I forwarded through and pressed enter key at about 1:36 into 3h program, nothing happened, pressing play/pause button, nothing happened, no matter what I did I could not stop the program forwarding. I pressed the home button, F1 qualifying still forwarding in the currently playing tile. Went back into my library and selected F1 qualifying again, it started from the time I initially pressed the enter button.

2. Play live TV option in the settings is an excellent idea, really like it on my puck, miss having the option on my other puck.  Suggestion, could you add another option to the settings that toggles "Live TV full screen" or "Live TV in currently playing tile" (as it's now)

Excellent feedback.

On your F1 report, was that ff stall during an ad break within the programme, if you noticed?
There has been quite a bit of feedback reported about ff stuttering during some ad points.

@SteveWac i know exactly what you mean and have encountered this myself quite a bit. I do know that Sky are aware of this particular bug.

@Yoghurt @Barry+Mc+Kelvey

Sky have not officially given a release date for os 2.0 a lot of factors come into play ie the feedback from the beta, the amount of bugs discovered, time to fix bugs, throw into all that Christmas approaching and sky like all companies have a software freeze in December.

Hi @Yoghurt

Just my opinion, I think Sky would roll out SkyOS 2.0 in the New Year. I'd be surprised if they started the Launch/Rollout in December 2026. Sky woukdvt wabt people to have issues over the Christmas period.

@Yoghurt Cloud recording ( and the 1000-hour quota) has always been a thing with Glass/Stream; it's just that customers were previously unable to know when a cloud recording was happening and were unable to manage their cloud recording. In 2.0, cloud recordings are more accessible, so it's easier to spot what is/isn't a cloud recording and delete them from your 1000-hour quota.

Re: New Sky OS 2.0

Hi @MarkGoldsmith

I never knew about the 1000 hours of Cloud Recording. I learnt something when reading the link from GB News.

In SkyOS 2.0 does it show how many hours of Cloud Recording you have?

What happens when you reach the 1000 hours limit? Is older Cloud Recordings removed?

Thanks in Advance

Re: New Sky OS 2.0

Cloud recordings will be available for up to a year (or whenever the content owner withdraws recording permission). If you reach the 1000 hours, Sky will delete the oldest recordings first to make room for new scheduled recordings.

Please do not trust any information provided by a link on X that comes from GB News.

That's about the most unreliable source of information possible.

You will find a clearer and more accurate description of the capabilities of Sky OS2.0 from somewhere like this, written by proper tech journalists, along with more credible responses from Sky customers.
