I'm hoping they'll have playlists continuing like they do too once finalised. We use them to categorise series, films and then a "watched" playlist. We move things to the "watched" playlist once we've finished, or if we gave up and abandonned!

No one is getting any younger (failing memory!) and nothing more annoying that starting to watch a "new" drama only to realise that 20 minutes in, you've already seen it 😆

Please revert back to the easy switching - and therefore easy tagging a show into a different playlist EASILY

Love your playlist/watchlist profile categories, especially your own moving to watched.

I do something similar.

I have playlist/watchlist profiles called;

Sports

Drama

News docs

Westerns OldTV Films

Scifi and fantasy

News docs tends to be my dumping ground when it does not fit elsewhere.

It seems a regular request for watchlist profiles easy switching, so hopefully it's noted and actioned

Fingers crossed! We do have a few others too like - you - "One Offs" - "Series" -for the Bake Off type programmes. And although we have 4 pucks dotted around the house for visitors - we never watch TV individually - so they're not "people" playlists...

You've already got the facility. It's just not labelled as such. Only a limited variety of content can be 'recorded' so please don't expect a Sky Q type planner where everything you set to record will be available. You'll end up with a mix of recordings and playlisted (or rather watchlisted) items, some of which will play back directly from a server, and others via an app.

Well, if much of what you watch is on ITV, BBC and Channel 4's suite of channels, then that would be limited...

That's what I did. I personally have no use for cloud recording as most of our household's viewing comes via apps. We stream on demand.

I like to keep up to date with developments. If SkyOS improves then I might consider returning to Sky in the future.

Re: New Sky OS 2.0

Has anyone figured out a way to turn off recordings? My Sky stream has automatically recorded items I've added to my watchlist, so I now have full series in my recordings just because I added them to watch later.

As much as this feature sounds great, I don't have a TV license and therefore am not allowed to record live TV. I use Sky purely for on demand as allowed, but this is now causing issues as it is breaching conditions.

Sky Stream has always cloud recorded certain items, it's just not always been too clear which. It's quite possible that you've watched cloud recordings in the past.

That's not quite true - not all shows on all other channels can be cloud recorded, on some of those other channels its very much a show by show basis, for example there are a number of shows on Sky's branded channels which aren't Sky shows, they don't have the on-demand rights for them and they can't be clouded recorded.

Is there any or many publicly available photos or videos of the new software.

how close to Q is this?

what features from the HD & Q boxes does it have are there any advantages other than box speed on Stream/Glass.
what in it's software is better.

Sky Go for Q allows local download

does the Stream/Glass one allow it.

this should be a box feature too.

should have just put Sky OS in a modified Apple TV with 2TB local storage & 2TB cloud DVR

also I have a feeling that ITV will play nice

but not BBC & 4,

not sure on 5

Hi @seandrews  I had a quick look at YouTube to see if I could find any videos to link you to but couldn't find anything.  I have however found THIS link which may be of interest and answer some of your questions.
