Re: New Sky OS
Hi Kev
We're on the new OS trial and struggling!
Firstly, when we join a live program we appear to have lost the option to go back to the beginning.
Secondly, where are the favourites? We used the favourites facility and can't find any facility on the new OS.
All guidance welcome
Thank you
Kevroot

Re: New Sky OS 2.0
I like to ask something someone on thread said that we might not get this new OS 2.0 until next year but I think it be released by November because why would beta take 4 months & Yeah I know Apple does it but currently I'm testing iOS 27.2 but some may ask why 27.2 because new IPhone Duo will have iOS 27.1 when available to Pre Order

Re: New Sky OS 2.0
@ScottishClaymore there is no fixed time timeline for a release date. Sky dont work like that but I am sure their marketing teams want this in place for their major selling period which starts in late November. However if it is not ready then it will slip and as Sky never release anything during the Christmas period so it could well be early 2027.

Re: New Sky OS 2.0
Will we have the chance to submit our thoughts/complaints direct to Sky? I have been using this new OS for a few days and I'm already looking for a way to revert. It's terrible. Saying that, I imagine it's only terrible for people (like me) who rarely watch live TV. All the apps and features I access are now inconveniently placed! The communication has been very poor too, even the onscreen advice was severely lacking. I hope there are many more updates to come.

Starting tomorrow (15/09), everyone who opted into the trial will begin moving over to the new SkyOS. The rollout will happen in stages, with all trial participants expected to be updated by the end of the month.
As you explore Sky OS 2.0, we'd love your help spotting any technical problems that may need attention.
Please use this thread to report things such as:
- Features not working correctly
- Missing content or functionality
- Performance issues
- Unexpected error messages
- Problems with recordings, apps, or playback
When posting, the more detail you can provide, the easier it is for our teams to investigate.
To keep this thread focused and useful, we're asking members to report technical issues only. Feedback about design choices, layouts, or feature preferences isn't something we're collecting through this discussion.
Thank you for helping us improve the experience for everyone.

Favourites missing from the new Sky OS
Favourites cannot be accessed in the new Sky OS so have they been removed? It appears that channels can still be set as Favourites in the "Manage" section but then cannot be accessed. If so my view is that this is a big retrograde step and I will be moving back to the old OS

@Ralinavi Please see this post which is only a few posts back, if you have OS2 then you also need to be posting in this thread and not create a seperate one.

No because the last thing they want is updates messing up during the holidays.

@Monty84 , if you really want to leave the trial, instructions on how to do so can be found here: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-os-trial .
Typically, during beta testing, documentation and instructions are limited because the software isn't final and will change as new features are added. It's very rare for any company running beta testing to provide and constantly update detailed documentation and instructions for all features because things change so quickly and new features roll out so fast. Also, any time they utilise to ensure the documentation is thoroughly accurate is time taken away from fixing the bugs reported and adding in the new features.
