Netflix passcode

Morning all,

A mild inconvenience on Netflix via Sky stream (on top of the picture quality issues) but has anyone else noticed that you can't manually type in your passcode to netflix via the remote buttons? You have to manually select them via the onscreen keypad.

I used to be able, and it still works on Sky Glass, but it stopped working at a similar time to the Netflix UI update and when the picture issues first started happening, probably not linked but coincidental.

Hi @sam+harman,

You shouldn't have to sign in consistently to Netflix, after the first time it will keep you signed in... can you explain a little more?

Re: Netflix passcode

I have set a passcode to access my account.

to access my account I used to be able to type the passcode using the remote control numbers however now I have to manually scroll on the on screen number pad to select the passcode.

works fine on sky glass, but sky stream has this issue

Yes, experiencing this too - completely nullifies the point of a profile PIN if everyone in the room can see you typing it in, glad to see it's being looked at!

Re: Netflix passcode

Thats a good point, I didn't consider the security/privacy issues this raises

Fair comment @sam+harman  but not sure why it's an issue seeing that I'm going off topic here but if you have a Firetvstick that obviously doesn't has numbers on the remote  I can use the onscreen numeric pad or use my actual tv remote so nobody can see my pass code.

Re: Netflix passcode

On sky stream on the netflix app, the numbers you select highlight on screen. everyone can see the numbers you pick thats the issue.

Defeats the purpose if I have to use the firestick to access netflix, but I get your point

Again fair comment @sam+harman  it makes more sense to use the tv remote to enter your pass code  if the Sky Stream remote is not working as it should.

Also I'd be more concerned about the Spanish hackers locking me out of my netflix account than family members seeing me enter my profile pin.
