Netflix on Sky Stream
Hi,
We have just signed up to Sky Stream and got our TV up and running today. We have an existing Netflix account that we want to link up as part of our Stream package - but we are worried about being potentially charged twice.
Does anyone know how this works and how we can avoid this from happening, as we've not had any further information from Sky on this point?
Thanks

When you link your Sky and Netflix accounts that tells Netflix to stop billing you and your Netflix membership type will change to "provided by Sky".
it might be worth reading the articles here which explains how to all works, including how to link the accounts.

Don't worry about it - the first time you log in to the Netflix app on Stream with your existing Netflix login details, the billing will automatically transfer over to Sky. Whatever method you were using to pay for Netflix before (credit card or debit card) will stop and if you log in to your account on the Netflix website it will show that you are paying as part of your Sky package and no further payments will be taken from your credit/debit card directly until such time as you decide to leave Sky, at which point billing will revert back to your original method.
I was highly sceptical about it working smoothly when I joined Stream but in actual fact it was a breeze and worked instantly. It even worked as smoothly when I left Stream too. The billing reverted back instantly without fuss.

Re: Netflix on Sky Stream
Note that once billing is transferred to Sky, you'll then be on Standard with Ads unless you pay an additional amount on the Sky subscription to upgrade to Standard or Premium: this is still somewhat cheaper than subscription through Netflix directly.
Also be aware that bundled Netflix does not permit the 'Extra Member' (Additional Household) feature.
