My sky stream will not get passed the “connecting sky remote” page.

I have tried turning it off, unplugging it overnight, pressed every button on the remote I've tried everything and for 2 days now it just keeps loading the connecting remote page. Any help appreciated!!

Check the backlight of the remote is lighting up. There may be some paper from the paper tab stuck in the back on the remote. If the remote is lighting up try the resolution steps outlined here: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/remote-control-help-sky-glass.

If it's not lighting up, and you have checked the paper tab and replaced the batteries try twisting the remote like you were wringing out a dishcloth. This may bring it to life. Failing that you will need to call Sky for a new remote (we are fellow subscribers here on the forum).
