Hi @lettice

Thanks again 🙂 I'm surprised the Sky Q Pucks are limited to 90 Mbps. If I remember correctly, Sky Q was limited to 100 Mbps via Ethernet.

Are you still a Sky Tester? I remember you from the Sky Beta Community. I was kicked out years ago, fir lack of activity. I'd love to be part of the program again.

Thanks in Advance

Barry 🙂

Sorry it is an 100Mbps port on the pucks, but generally will only show a speed of around 90Mbps via Ethernet.

That was also the case for when I had Sky Q, it only showed a speed of 85-90Mbps.

Yes I'm a Sky community Superuser as you see from my badge on the right and yes commitment within the Sky community boards these days is the key.

Re: Moving from Sky Q to Sky Stream questions..

Hi

In regards to TNT Sports, can football be added to a Playlist to be watched at a later time/day?

Another question that comes to mind. Can you setup two remotes to control one Sky Stream Puck, in the same way you could with Sky Q?

Thanks in Advance

Re: Moving from Sky Q to Sky Stream questions..

I did this via the Netflix app on my Bravia tv and got the following... across a couple of days.

  • Morning: 67.45 Mbps / 131.34Mbps
  • Mid Morning 135.10 Mbps / 130.15 Mbps
  • Mid afternoon 135.28 Mbps
  • Tea time 133.21Mbps
  • Evening 135.70 Mbps
  • Evening 98.18 Mbps / 133.99 Mbps / 127.38 Mbps

This is via EE and wireless not wired connection to the TV.

That is a good range of testing.

Based on that, on your wifi, you should be able to get a good reliable Sky Stream experience.

Only other factors but not really seeing it in your case to any extent would be a little interference stability if you have any other devices around your Tv area that may cause some blips.

The puck much like a Sky Q box can for some customers suffer from this at times. More often as I said as an intermittent blip.

Best ploy is to make sure you have a good 6-8 inches free on all sides of the puck.

Do not stack the puck on top of any other device. Best not to sit it on a glass shelf. Wood is generally the best.

Make sure the puck is in the open, not tucked away in a cabinet or sat directly behind the TV.

Make sure you have no other devices that can cause interference closeby, like cordless phones, radiators, baby monitors, smart meter in home displays, microwaves and the like.
