How have you worked that out then? There's only 1500+ 'posts' on this discussion for a start and following it from the start and frequently seeing regular user names I'd be surprised if that actually amounted to much more than a couple of hundred individual users and not all of those (like myself) have the problem. Yes some users have issues with it in their setup. No need to exaggerate it to make that point.

Yep, that would be my assessment too.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream

I can only base this on my own experience,   but since they updated the firmware with their "fix" I've seen a massive improvement.   Still some infrequent sync issues,   But once or twice a week,  instead of a few times per hour.

Good to hear @JeffGall .  Obviously it hasn't been resolved for some subscribers but I actually thought it had been as I have not had any lip sync issues since my puck was updated a few weeks ago.  My original puck failed about a week ago and has been replaced and the new one has also not had any lip sync problems.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream

Whether it's this issue or other issues, Sky do seem to have a habit to come out with excuses and trying to blame it with an issue on our side

I keep saying Sky stream is a great product but Sky need to take more responsibility and accept that it still needs improvement

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream

I am sure Sky watch these messages, if so this observation may help ?

I have been watching cricket on channel 404, and the issue is easy to spot as the sound of the ball hitting the bat is after the picture shows it.

Yesterday watchng live IPL cricket in the afternoon the lip sysch issue was there. By accident I caught the same match but in highlights mode about 10pm and it was gone. Just checked with test highlights this morning and it was also absent.

I am also 99% sure the live programe was in 5.1 audio, but the highlights in 2.0. Might help track it down ?

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream

I've had Sky Stream for a few days and have suffered from sound sync issues on both pucks despite trying various settings. On seemingly eliminating the issue it returns when powered back on or moving to a different channel or app.

Judging by the number of posts in the community and the lack of a fix I may cancel the contract before my 30 days are up. It's unusable unless you're prepared to sit through an entire movie with sync issues or stop the movie and apply the 'fix'.

It's too expensive to live with issues like this..

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream

@kdp99 One of the fixes was to use PCM stereo instead of Dolby 5.1 or Atmos. Pretty **bleep** if you are paying for Atmos though.

@spbonzo I have not had lip sync issues for a few weeks now but when I did I found flipping to another channel and then back again always got it back in sync again.  Obviously you should not have to do this but it is a workaround that works.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream

Funny thing is I tried all thoses fixes with live cricket and rugby with no joy. I never watch 'highlights' so my guess is its that. Will report back when I have had a go with more live sport.

I've been watching Roland Garros all day on TNT Sports with no issues at all. Perfectly in sync.
Are you experiencing problems via the sky TNT Sports channels or via discovery + app streams?

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream

There are enough people who have issues so it doesn't help when people say it's working @Paul+Dray. Issues are on the main channel but also had issues on channel 922 which is the latency channel. I have restarted the puck and it's better.

So it not ok for users that don't have this issue to post about it @Super+Anthony?

I have experienced some issues with Stream and find it interesting to read posts from others that don't!

In your hurry to berate me you missed the fact that I was saying that the very same TNT sports programmes have been working for me.

I didn't just say 'it's working'.

I'm pointing out that there indeed is the rub. It works for me but not for you with the same sky stream service and sky equipment.
