Issues with new sky puck

Hi,

Just took delivery of new puck this morning, eventually got it set up but not how I'd like

I've been forced to use WiFi instead of an ethernet cable, the puck simply won't connect using ethernet despite my previous virgin stream box and my ps5 all having no issues.

The puck wont connect so Im using WiFi which isn't ideal

How can I use ethernet ?

Secondly,

When selecting Game of Thrones box set from main menu screen the box doesn't populate the list and eventually crashes and restarts, however if I chose something else randomly but much more recent it works as intended

What could the issue here be?

I found this bug/issue within the first twenty minutes so I'm not impressed.

This is a brand new account and only recently activated so could that play a part?

The ethernet is soe,thing else and I need that working as WiFi isn't ideal for me

Firstly, so we can get some idea of what your wifi to the Sky Stream puck is offering, can you please do a network speed test on each of your Pucks.
Launch Netflix on your pucks (you do not need to be logged into it, if you do not use netflix) and scroll down the left menu to Get help.
Choose Check Network.
Would suggest running the test a few times, say a few minutes between tests.
What is your speed?

Not sure on your Game of Thrones issue.

Can you try a settings restart as follows and see if it fixes your issue;

Go to Settings>Systems Management>Resets & Updates

Select Restart device
Your Sky Stream puck will perform a reboot. It will take a few minutes to complete.

Different ways to get to the settings menu;
Hit the . . . button on your remote and select settings, use voice saying 'settings' or scroll down to the settings menu on the home menu.

Re: Issues with new sky puck

Who is your ISP?

Have you tried a different ethernet port on the router and a known to be good cable?

Have you turned off WiFi in the puck menu, rebooted and tried ethernet again?

My puck took a good 3 or 4 minutes to connect via ethernet with a VM Hub3.

Can you explain more on your ethernet.

Is your Puck out of ethernet cable reach wise from router to your puck or is your puck switching to wifi when you have added an ethernet cable?

If the latter, you need to turn wifi off in the Sky Stream puck settings under Network, when connecting via ethernet. You may need to do a settings restart after making that change.

Re: Issues with new sky puck

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the quality of my ethernet cable

However I did not turn off WiFi while trying ethernet and neither did I reboot it after making the change

That's two things I can have a try doing,  I'll report back

By the way WiFi speed to my living room is over 500MBps
