ITVX Skip Intro

When going to watching Coronation Street on ITVX, the 'skip intro' button displays in the bottom right corner - just above the 'play bar'.

No matter what button I press, I can't get to the 'skip intro' button. And when I press the back button on my remote to remove the 'play bar', it also removes the 'skip intro' button. What am I doing wrong?

It's not the end of the world, I know, as the intro is only short, but has anyone else figured out a way?

I have found this as well, it's hit and miss. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't @HuxleyPiggles

Yeah, there seems to be a couple of annoying bugs like this that have crept into the ITV X app recently.

Re: ITVX Skip Intro

Presumably then this is more of a problem than going into Settings System management and selecting App refresh?

Yeah, the ITV X app has a few bugs in it now. I can't be sure, but I've noticed a few ever since they updated the app, and it now shows the number of ads and time remaining for the ad break ( similar to what a lot of the other apps do).

The ad countdown top right on ITVx has been around for quite a while.

Its still just a click and hold of the remote to skip, one of the easiest I find for Sky ad skip.

I Myself have not experienced any issue with ITVx ad skip. Find it always fast and quick.

One thing to be aware like many apps is you need to only use skip ads once you actually see the ads and not at any promo or the ITVx logo on launch.

The skip adds option is not the issue, it's the skip intro option we're talking about.

@Dazzasky

Perhaps the many things I watch on ITVx, I've been lucky, as I cannot recall ever seeing  any skip intro button.

They are both ( ads and intro) rather annoying bugs.

I've noticed noticed on some occassions, after each ad break the Skip Intro button displays and if you accidentally click it, you get taken back to the start of the show ( after the intro of course).

Re: ITVX Skip Intro

Getting similar here too. The ITV skip function wasn't great when we got Stream & Glass back in Feb, but recently, the skip function is totally useless on ITV.

We're skipping on the first break, and seeing the adverts FF through, but when it's supposed to return the programme it's now restarting. On subsequent breaks. If I skip, it just goes straight to restart most of the time, sometimes it works, but leaves the 'Skip Intro' button visible.

Most breaks seem to be one advert at 15-30 seconds, so we're just putting up with them for now - it's quicker than trying to skip, and then find where we were again.

None of it is perfect though, and there are many glitches throughout the skip functions on all channels.
