Just bough the sky stream/Netflix subscription a) how do I link my current Netflix to this and b) how can I upgrade to the no ads version

Signing in to a Netflix app on Sky hardware using existing Netflix credentials acts as an instruction for Netflix to transfer billing to Sky.

The upgrade should be available through the Sky Marketplace on a Stream puck.

Is the link then done automatically and my payments to Netflix will stop?... I signed up to Sky version of netflix yesterday cause I had cancelled previous set up with sky.. then was told that I needed to have a valid netflix account which then meant I had to give card details to reopen my account.. so now I am paying sky and Netflix!! not exactly what i wanted as I am now paying more!... so will my Netflix charge per month stop now automatically now that I have opened netflix on my skybox? Thanks. H

Have a read of the Sky Glass/Stream section on the fist page of this Netflix Sky help article.
If you have activated, as described, Netflix will stop billing you and your billing for Netflix will change over to Sky.
If you login to Netflix via a web browser or an app your Netlfix account page will show 'Billed by Sky package'.
In your MySky app or MySky account online you should see Netlfix listed under Your Products, that will be the Sky billed one.

Thanks for this... but at the moment I don't see any of what you suggest... when I log into Netflix I don't see "Billed by Sky"...
I do see Netflix in my products in Sky account... but I fear that I have one on Sky now and another on Neflix!... it is early days as only set up yesterday ... so maybe it will come through.. but currently Netflix are asking for £18.99... and Sky already getting £10 from me... and I have seen no way of linking accounts.
Maybe if I log out of the Netflix on Sky and re-log in to Netflix on sky machine then it might find a resulution itself... but I did log in and from what I have gleaned ... that sky will automatically link the accounts and then Netflix won;t charge me... but it is not clear and I see no way of actually linking accounts.
Maybe I need to be patient!
