@Barry+Mc+Kelvey yes the app shows both a QR code and a numerical code to use to sign in.

And any others with the issue. This is now resolved. Using the app in apps drawer
take me straight into HBO shows and films.

Re: HBO Max is Now Included in Most TV Packages!
Exact same issue for me. I have gone round in circles today in attempt to resolve this. My issue is the TNT Sport content that I was able to view yesterday via the Discovery + app is now inaccessible. Using my Discovery + login for HBO Max does not work, the error message is one stating the email password combination is not recognised.
I was able to create an entirely new account in HBO Max under a different email and link that to my Sky account which gives me the basic ad tier. Of course I still want to view TNT Sports without shelling out again.

Re: HBO Max is Now Included in Most TV Packages!
Not sure if it'll work for you, but for me I took my TNT sports through sky (got the discovery+ entertainment inc spport shows on my app) I had to create the new hbomax login, I then had to go under the apps section in my sky and theres a new option for TNT Sports which will be showing activation, it should take you back to the hbomax site and complete linking the tntsports. I noticed the tntsports app and also discovery+ app wording has changed on the login pages to say use your tntsports.co.uk or eurosport credentials to login, my guess is the only thing on the discovery app now will be the eurosport sports content. Hope that helps you. I have also noticed sky want £34 a month from april 1st to take my tntsports through them and HBO have some really good deals so may cancel and go via them instead, got until 2nd April to let all the launch stuff settle before it cancels.

Re: HBO Max is Now Included in Most TV Packages!
I thought exactly the same.
I cancelled my TNT through Sky, then used the saver link on HBO max which seems to give the premium version of HBO with the sports for about £36/month in the first year.
Done it, think it all works but each time I load the HBO max it offers to link my account with Sky, hoping this goes away before someone at home presses the wrong buttons!

Re: HBO Max is Now Included in Most TV Packages!
Something useful for anyone getting the region error when signing up, if your on and Apple device make sure "iCloud Private relay" if enabled isn't set to use a general location, I found even after signup when logging in I ocasionally get the message, turned private relay to use the "General Location" I.P setting helped. Also HBO's content protections are very picky about VPN's even on a UK server you might get blocked. Disney+ is the same for some providers. Hope this helps a few folks.

Re: HBO MAX
For this argument to hold up, Sky would be reducing the cost of their package now that they have lost the rights to the content. I would guess they won't be doing this and instead putting subscription fees up by 10% next month.

Re: TNTSports via EE...log in issue
For those of us who pay for TNT Sports through BT/EE but have linked TNT viewing to our Sky boxes, this whole HBO thing is a right mess. I may have to unsubscribe from TNT through BT and resubscribe through Sky., unless anyone knows better.

I subscribe to TNT Sports with BT/EE and I've set up HBO max with TNT Sports via my discovery+ login on my Sky Stream and iPad and then created a separate account via Sky to get the offer which I've upgraded to Premier for £10pm and login with that on my Apple TV and TV HBO Max apps. I now pay in Total £28 for TNT sports 4K and HBO Max Premier. Basically I can put up with the two account situation for the cost savings.
Sky Stream, Sky Glass, Philips 77OLED+950, Pioneer LX-901 7.1.4, EE 900 FTTP

That's clever! Will try it.

Re: HBO Max is Now Included in Most TV Packages!
Misleading on MySky. Basic with Ads is worth €5.99, not €7.99.
It's also quite frustrating that Sky is not offering customers the ability to upgrade to Standard with Ads through Sky, which would be only €2 extra. Instead if you want to upgrade you can only get Standard (no ads) for €5 extra or Premium for €10 extra. I guess a workaround would be cancelling Basic with Ads with Sky, subscribing to Standard with Ads directly with HBO and then signing up again with Sky and linking the accounts and pay the €2 difference.

Re: HBO MAX
Are you sure you don't work for Sky? 😅 I said vast majority not all. I don't really understand your point about HBO putting UHD behind the most expensive tier? That doesn't have anything to do with what I was saying. To make it as clear as I possibly can: Sky Ultimate, which isn't an option, costs me £30 a month and until today included most HBO shows. The new shows, undoubtedly, would have been available under this if HBO Max hadn't been launched. Regardless of whether Sky could've stopped HBO Max from launching in the UK. They now need to justify the same price for Sky Ultimate if they're losing so many shows as a result, or compensate that with the UHD access to HBO Max if you have UHD add on. At least for a time. Or lower the Sky Ultimate cost.

Re: HBO MAX
Okay but I already have Sky Stream. I think this just supports my case that it should be included if you have Sky Ultimate with a UHD add on.

But as a Sky subscriber you are getting access to that content ( and more) by HBO Max being bundled in with your subscription.
