It's HBO content: Warner Bros Discovery Ltd would quite like it to make them some more money.

Getting a black screen but audio coming through. Only way to sort is to reset apps or restart. Anyone else having this issue?

@LittleEaton

Have moved your post to the Sky Stream and HBO Max thread.

For your mentioned issues with your HBO Max app having a black screen and sound issues, are other apps and your linear TV channels performing ok?

You mention you have  tried an apps refresh from the puck settings.

That can take up to 24 hours to complete fully.

Could you also try a broadband router/hub restart.

Re: HBO Max is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

We are still having the same problem. We have tried at different times, on mutiple different browsers and the app - still get the message to say HBO can't verify account. HBO says it is not their end. Fairly typical of Sky not to be very reachable or responsive.

Yes me too.

On going dialogue with HBO.

Try different browser, different device, power cycles Stream box, power cycle phone, screenshot of message.

Now "escalated within HBO".

Re: HBO Max black screen

I have sky stream, I have sky ultimate and never had any accounts with HBO so don't see what the issue could be all I get is "we can't do that at the moment"

Re: HBO Max is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

Why is there no search facility on HBO Max, to get to a particular programme can mean trolling through hundreds of programmes to find the one you want to watch. This is unacceptable and a complete ball ache

For a 'free' release a week ago, probably not.

Are you saying you can't watch what used to watch on Sky channel as it's only any available  on the HBO max app. This because  Sky  have lost the rights to show these programmes on there channels and the owners of these rights have decided put this programming on there own app which has been the case for the rest of Europe for some time now and made the programming available everybody that wants to subscribe to the app not just Sky subscribers. The app is not only available on Sky box's but lot other devices live tvs , streaming sticks ect. However Sky has negotiated a deal with the owners of HBO max that you get the basic entertainment tier free  (with ads) and if you want you can have  a higher tier either without ads  or in UHD for a extra subscription. As a Sky subscribers you can subscribe at a lower price than if you were a non Sky subscriber and subscribered directly with HBO max. So for a small monthly subscription you can can have programming without ads. This subscription is handled for Sky subscbers by Sky marketplace by credit or debit card payment and separate to your normal Sky bill. Sky marketplace are only acting as agents for HBO max who they pass you payment to.them. I should if you subscribed direct to HBO max as non Sky subscriber you would pay £4.99 a month for what as a sky subscriber you getting free.
