Still haven't seen an answer on this swap to add infested programs and paying for add skipping with sky been totally taken away from us although we've paid for it.
shows should be available on Sky AND HBO max for users who've paid to have adds removed?
I feel a bit of a scam has been implemented here.

@Timelord2018 I get you. Hacks is one of those shows that Sky had prior to HBO Max launching in the UK and therefore have first run rights here.

Agree 100%, total spin by sky to sell this as a huge gift for you out of the goodness of their hearts. Total mess, feel absolutely ripped off. We've just started to watch sopranos in 4k with ad skipping and were planning on a full rewatch of game of thrones uhd dolby atmos on the home cinema. The Wire is gone too. Nobody is going to subscribe to hbo for more than a month or two - it's bare bones after you've ticked off the tentpole series'.

What's even more absurd is that if you have NOWTV, the Ultra Boost add-on does give you ad-free UHD, Atmos & HDR on HBO Max content streamed through the NOW app. It's all at the wrong frame rate of course, and only with HLG HDR but at least there are no ads.

The recent deal NOWTV offered of Entertainment & HBO Max with UltraBoost for £6.99pm for 12 months was a bit of a bargain, particularly as that effectively includes their version of Whole Home, in that it can be viewed on 3 screens simultaneously in a household.

It also keeps everything under the one app, so shows like Hacks, missing from the HBO Max app, are still available on NOW, alongside The Pitt, DTF St Louis, The Comeback and Night of the Seven Kingdom for example.

Hey Everyone,

I have noticed a few post regarding TNT not working on your HBO app when you have it as part of your Sky subscription. I just wanted to make you aware that I have raised this to the appropriate teams and they are working on fixing this for you. I will update when the issue has been resolved.

Thanks you for your patience while we sort this.

Thanks,

Re: HBO Max is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

This is rubbish.

I was happily watching The Wire and reached near to the end of Season 2. I was watching it until last weekend. I open Sky today and the show has been removed. They haven't renewed the rights. So now I can't watch this on Sky Atlantic. I wonder if they are reliving The Sopranos too, which I was planning on watching.

I don't watch much TV so I'm on the most basic Sky Stream package. As I wanted to make use of Sky's good UI, ecosystem and Sky Atlantic. So this is a big loss for me.

Hbo max not loading

So I activated HBO max yesterday on My Sky app. It's all up and working. I signed in on sky stream and have watched something. But now every time I load the app it's still in the activating screen. It still says activate now on the home screen.

However it does log in from continue watching.

any ideas how to resolve this?

Re: HBO Max is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

HBO Max with ads is £5 per month for me, so I have to pay to get back what I once had, which I was already paying for in my subscription when I signed up.

Re: HBO Max is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

@Jack889 HBo Max basic is included no extra charge. The £5 a month is for HBO standard with no ads and adds downloads to watch offline on the go and WB movies that have released into HBO max after cinema realese.

If before you were watching HBO shows on sky Atalatic you can still do this just likr before. In other words you do not have to pay extra for what you had before or lose any acesss to what you would have had

There is some confussion on this in thid thead so worth pointing out

@JazTheTim if you have the ad skipping adon this will let you watch HBO shows on sky atlantic ad free just like you had before

In other words you have not lost any service.

Yes if you use the HBO Max app it will have ads.

HB NO

Hi guys. So like most I downloaded HBO through Sky.  I used to watch TNT Sports through Discovery + so as they've transferred to HBO I set it up only to discover I can't stream TNT Sports as it won't let me access. Spoke to HBO who advised I should have set up using my Discovery + login details and will need to contact Sky to delete acc and restart again.  However there is no way to delete hbo once it's set up.  Anyone else having this issue

Re: HBO Max is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

I'm not happy this and Disney are on Marketplace, They couldn't manage to take the payments for Paramount upgrade, and then I couldn't pay the failed payments online so had to spend hours on the phone to Sky  who hadn't a clue how to take the payment, account was restricted a bit because Sky didn't seem to know how to take £12 outstanding payment and didn't seem to even know what Marketplace was. Eventually managed to pay it but put me off using it again, Won't be upgrading this after that debacle.

Re: HBO Max is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

I pay for ad skipping / 4k and Atmos but this doesn't now seem to apply to the same content I previously had access to. Is this correct?

If I need to pay a further £10 a month to access what I previously had access to this seems a bit of a kick in the teeth. I will def be leaving at the end of my contract as now just cheaper to buy the streaming services seperately as I need them.

Re: HBO Max is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

Hi Paul, That would be fine if were true. But it is not the case.

I'm a Sky subscriber with Sky Essentials TV. I don't think there is any confusion here, I think it is that Sky have pulled content available for those on the lowest tier and made things worse.

Sky also made a pigs ear of annoouncing it, I got one letter to say I would be getting Hayu and HBO Max with no exta cost, and that is the reason they were putting my monthly total tariff up by XYZ, but then I got another letter to apologise and to say I will not be getting HBO Max or Hayu as I am a pauper.

Here is a screenshot to show what I mean Paul. If I go to continue my happy viewing of The Wire, instead of playing seamlessly, it opens a HBO Max app, that asks me to subscribe to one of these tiers.
