Faulty picture on Sky Stream Puck

I've had Sky Stream or Sky Glass as it was at the time since Decemeber 2021, I've had a number of glitches and crashes on the main Sky Stream which have always been rectified by resetting, but I've had no problems with the puck.

Until now, for the last week the apps have all been OK but the "terrestrial" and Sky channels, BBC, ITV, C4/5, Witness, Showcase, Atlantic etc all are faulty. The pictures on all of them, every 10 to 12 seconds, either break up for a couple of seconds or totally freeze and I have to change channel and back again for it to work until it happens again.

I have factory reset the puck, reset and installed the Internet, changed the HDMI cable and left it unplugged and powered off for a few hours. None of these have made any difference so the last option I can think of is to connect the puck to my sons monitor, if it still happens then I know for definite that it is the puck.

Has anyone else encountered this and if so, did you manage to solve it. I don't fancy the idea of spending £50 on a new puck.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Faulty picture on Sky Stream Puck

Which month of your minimum term contract are in or is it a rolling monthly contract?

What sort of Smart TV do you have?

Can you confirm you own your current Puck?

Hi

I have exactly the same problems Pixelated screens, black screen.  static image but with sound.

Sky want to charge me for a new puck.

It's obviously a known problem, maybe sky should fix it?

That should only be the case for a puck acquired before 23rd February 2023.  After that date pucks are on loan and should be swapped out free of charge to resolve suspected hardware faults.
