F1 live recording keeps skipping for 30 seconds, anyone else having this problem?

Have you asked Sky if you can leave your contract?

Many people have been allowed to exit their 18 or 24 month contracts early, without penalty, due to issues with the service.

But you need to contact Sky and allow them to assist with troubleshooting first and there's no guarantee they'll allow you to do the same, but if you don't ask, you don't get.

Yes I've actually asked twice this year because of this issue with the awful F1 service. And I get ghosted by Sky on the subject.

I am also getting the stream skipping every 30 seconds when watching the F1, making it unwatchable. This has happened when attempting to watch the last two F1 races from the playlist (not live), most recently last night and when I tried again this morning. I ended up having to watch the highlights on 4.

Like others, F1 is the only reason I subscribe to Sky Sports which makes it extra frustrating. 

Sky are seemingly unwilling to provide any discount or other compensation whilst the issue is onging, which is totally unnaceptable. I very much doubt they are making prospective customers entering into an 18 month contract aware of this issue too...

If this was a new issue, I'd give Sky some slack but by all accounts, this issue was present last year during the previous F1 season too.

I'm sure if there was an issue with thier payment systems preventing collection from thier customers, it would be resolved in no time.

Update from me. I finally got out of my contract. They agreed failure of service.

I thought they had fixed the problem because it has been ok until this weekend but it has started again and it is intermittent I was trying to watch yesterday and gave up and when I started again today it was ok, but I had a half hour break and when I started again it was back. I will leave it till the end of the season and cancel!!! Channel 4 highlights for me next year. Another bonus will be that I won't have to listen to Crofts over excitement and hype, he is the most irritating commentator i have come across.

Yesterday I gave up as the skipping made the race unwatchable. Today I've come back to watch it (despite already having the results spoiled today) and the race isn't available to watch. I have the option to see the 'ahead of the start' and the 'chequered flag'. Race is not available to watch at all. What a mess.

No they are not, I joined on the 15th October and was not made aware of any ongoing issues with Playlist on Sky Stream.  Are Sky Glass customers also having the issue?

This is exactly what has happened to me. The skipping made it unwatchable last night, I've just tried to watch it and it's disappeared from my playlist. I believe because it's being repeated tonight, but that's not good enough, it's an on demand service or at least supposed to be.

We've been experiencing this too and yesterday I got a call from Sky following my email to them complaining about the issue. In a nutshell they said they are aware of the situation and are trying to find a work around. They did think they'd fixed it, but it seems to have returned. She confirmed that it's affecting the F1 and several Sports channels. They are going to keep me updated as to what's happening, but that's about it.

Very strange - i've been watching it this morning and have had no issues whatsoever with the playback of the recording.

We've just sat down to watch the race show and the duration is only just over an hour. Fast forwarded expecting to get past the pre-race content to the actual race, but the program just stops! Absolutely livid now. On hold with Sky at the moment.

I'm also having this issue, both qualifying and the race are missing from my playlist. I'm having to wait until 8pm to watch it on Sky F1.
