F1 live recording keeps skipping for 30 seconds, anyone else having this problem?

Not gatekeeping at all. Just simply asking the question - as you wouldn't believe how many people just post onto older threads without reading the advice already given in the thread.

Quite a few people believe the forum is a route to Sky customer services or complaints - which it isn't it's a place for customers to help and advise other customers and the best way to ensure Sky are aware of playback or broadcast relation issues so that they can be fixed is to contact the Viewer Relations Team .

Unlike previously where this issue was only affecting the F1 playback if you look at other threads on the forum this is clearly now a wider issue amongst the Sky Sports channels.

I am having the same problem.  F1 is unwatchable and I have gigabit low latency fibre internet and my puck is hardwired to the router.

That's because it's a playback issue - so you need to report it to Skys Viewer Relations Team.

I see it is now effecting other playback as well.  Not just the F1

So, trying to watch the Brazilian grand Prix from my sky stream playlist and every 30 seconds it skips forward around 30 seconds. If I'm honest, I don't know how far forward it's skipping but I guess about 30 seconds.

If I try to rewind and play again it does the same thing. If I unplug my sky stream and start again it does the same thing. Sky is terrible and clearly doesn't care about it's customers. The service is terrible. I pay for sky sports and it's unwatchable. I hope and pray that one day formula 1 will be provided by some company other than terrible Sky!

Tried watching the F1 after the race finished today, nothing but skipping and now it's disappeared entirely - I can't watch it at all. Fuming. Nothing but issues with Sky stream since I got it over a year ago.  What an absolute mess. I only pay for Sky for the F1 - I really hope the rumours of Apple buying the airing rights after the current contracts expire are true. I can't wait to be rid of Sky.

Just trying to watch the Brazil GP on Playlist with Sky Stream and having same skipping issue. What an absolute shambles. Think Ill just watch the C4 highlights tbh, better commentary and analysis team to boot.

I am having the same problem. Have rebooted the sky puck twice, rebooted my broadband and my router - so definitely not at my end.

It's awful to watch..in fact it's pretty much unwatchable.

Sky has really dropped the ball with the f1 coverage this weekend. This skipping issue, and they did not record the rescheduled qualifying. For the money we pay, it would have taken a sky employee 5 minutes to rejig the recording schedule. Shocking service Sky - you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Between this and the series links not being in playlist this is driving me nuts. Totally messed up the qualifying and race today

Currently on lap 9 and the skipping seems to have stopped (hopefully). The same thing happened on the last GP but it stopped at the start of the race. This week it's skipped for the formation lap, 10 minutes of waiting on the gride and then 9 whole laps of the race.

I expect that next time the whole damn race will just skip! Absolute crap!

Also trying to watch the grand prix back on the playlist after having to not watch quali as it didn't record even though I added everything in the delayed timespan to a playlist. Now the grand prix isn't watchable and has an issue. Hopefully as they are trying to fix it? It kept jumping about 20 seconds every 30 seconds making it completely unwatchable. I'll just wait for the channel 4 full race to come out unless sky fixes this.

Same here. I'm so fed up with Sky.

Sky stream is terrible, I have an Apple TV I use for everything but have to pay for Sky to watch the F1. Sky Q is not an option for me. I also cannot wait for the day Sky looses the rights to F1 and the rights instead go to a company capable of actually delivering it smoothly. There were rumours Apple are seriously considering bidding when the current contracts expire in 2029... please god let this be true.
