I've got this issue aswell. Any news on this from the sky side? I've been on to Discovery Plus for over an hour and whilst helpfull, and sending many, many screenshots to them they have told me that it is because I have a basic Discovery Plus package and Olympics is not included. Even though all the Discovery Plus info on the Sky website, on the same page, says specifically its free and that the Olympics is included.  FYI, the only mention of another package is with TNT sports and this is called Discovery Plus Premium. But no details are available on this premium package. Will ring Sky in the morning to try and get to the bottom of this.

I wanted to watch the Olympics streams via Discovery + as advertised. The included package with Sky only allows basic package which doesn't give access to all Olympics streams so I decided to pay €6.99 for the upgrade so I could watch. 

Problem is that when you sign in to the Disc+ app via sky you can only activate the basic free package sky gives you (via discoveryplus/link) which sends you in a loop as this doesn't seem to recognise that you have an upgraded account with Disc+!

You need to be able to log in to your Disc+ account with email and password but there's no option to do that via the app on sky.

I have chromecast connected via HDMI on Glass so I could sign in to the app properly there and can access full content that way fine.

We have been told this has been raised with Warner Bros Discovery

So no need to call Sky, as they are aware and it affects all customers at the moment.

A bit of an update from my perspective. Just been talking to sky for an hour with them raising it to other departments. I told them about Lettice's post that it's a known issue and been worked on by Warner - not in this corner of Sky it seems. I got nothing from that. 

In the end I got the same story that I've got basic Discovery Plus and I need premium to watch the olympics. So to either buy TNT Sports or buy direct from Discovery Plus. 

At this point I gave up. Made the point that if this was the case Sky would have thousands of users saying what is going on, not, for example 190 people on teh community with this issue. IT seems a small subset have this issue. 

Anyway, I've given up now. Talked to both Discovery Plus and Sky for over 2 hours and they are as clueless as us. 

Time to pay my 3.99.

All the streams today have been working fine.

So it is fixed now.

As an aside, this works well on Sky Stream;

Found a nice easy way to flick between the live Olympic events on the two linear Eurosport channels and the discovery + app live streams.

Say 'Olympics'  into your Sky voice remote and pan across the two top live rails there.

First rail is the linear tv channels.

Second rail is the Discovery+ app live streams.

Select either of the the linear Eurosport channels on the first rail to watch.

Or for all the extra live content streams, select any of the second rail 'Live Olympics on discovery+'.
Select watch, this will launch that within the Discovery+ app.

Choose whether to watch live or watch from start.

If you want to switch events when in the Discovery + app,  ( without using the app menus) best way is to say 'Olympics' within the app using your Sky remote once again and pan left to 'Leave and search'

Use the event selection once again as above from the Sky rails

It all seems to be working for me now, like some others. I can't tell though if it's working because I upgraded my Disc+ subscription late last night or not.

Same here. Still not working for me. I get the following message below.

"Sorry, this content isn't available with your current pass from your affiliate provider. Visit our Help Centre for more information"

Or describe how you got to the tile.

I get exactly the same thing.

In my Sky settings it shows I have Discovery + Standard, which according to Discovery Plus is what is required in order to access the Olympic content as well as all Eurosport content (not the TNT stuff). 

When I contacted discovery plus they say I only have the Basic package but when I contact Sky they tell me I have the standard package but that there is an issue with Discovery Plus. Discovery Plus just say it is an issue with Sky.

Total joke especially as Discovery are stopping the BBC from airing multiple sports at the same time so just have to hope that the BBC or Eurosport show what you want to see.

Update

It's working for me now. I had to go through

Mysky>>>>Skyshop>>>>Your Products 

to activate my subscription. But the thing is it's already activated, not sure why I had to do it again. Anyways I used the QR code on the screen and I was redirected to discovery page and when I signed in with my sky ID, a screen came up saying I was already on an offer and asked if I wanted to replace it with the current offer I should continue. So as soon as I finished the signing up, I checked on my phone and sky glass and they are both working now. I will check the stream when I get the chance to see if that's working too. It should be by the looks of things.
