I am a new Sky customer, I have a sky puck and Sky Stream.
I've been watching Last of Us Season 2 recently, which proudly displays the UHD logo on the programme description. However, when I play it on my LG B4 TV, I am not getting it in 4k. I tried some other shows - Dexter: New Blood, also claims to be in UHD, but that's not what plays on my 4k TV. Dolby Atmos comes through fine however.
If I try none Sky shows, for example Andor on the Disney + app, I don't get Dolby Vision, even though the show has it. I know it has it, because when I watch the same show, on the same TV, only this time using the Fire Stick 4k Max, it plays in Dolby Vision.
What gives? I am paying the increased £6 a month tier for UHD and Atmos content, but there seems to be very little to watch in UHD. Sports is all well and good, and it looks fantastic in UHD, so I know the puck can support it.

You need to have the correct subscription level for the individual apps as the UHD add on only gives UHD on Sky's own channels. If you want UHD on Netflix, Paramount & Disney+ you'll need their premium packs.

Re: Disappointed at 4k options
Hi I'm on the same pack and it is frustrating a lot of the time you need to select it yourself. I'm not sure it should work like that it's supposed to be smooth and smart but often it's just not.
Anyway hope this helps. In settings go to picture select 2160p for picture resolution and default streaming format needs to be UHD. That should sort out streaming apps like Disney plus. Then for Sky shows such as the last if us when you go to select a episode underneath there is a button option saying All Formats select that and pick UHD and HDR, that should remember it for all episodes but I find forgets sometimes. For films next to play is a cog button you can select UHD and HDR there if it's available

Re: Disappointed at 4k options
Thanks for the response. I do have the correct subscription tiers for Sky, Disney + and Prime Video (by the way when did everything become a subscription 😂)

Re: Disappointed at 4k options
I know lol 😂 it's crazy how many subscriptions there are today and HBO Max from next year and then so many sub subscriptions within each sub such as ad free and 4K as addons. Anyway did my advice work for getting Sky shows such as The Last of Us work for getting UHD and HDR?

Re: Disappointed at 4k options
@Kergguz if you have the relevant subscriptions, you'll need to check your settings on the TV as that's the most likely suspect. Modern tvs have a myriad of settings and one isn't correct, it can cause all kinds of issues.

Re: Disappointed at 4k options
I didn't know that option existed on a per episode basis - so in that respect it was definitely useful to find that out! However, when I checked, the UHD and HDR option was already selected for the episode I was trying to watch.
