Hi,
I previously enjoyed surround sound on my TV by connecting BT box to DVD player (optical cable) & to the TV (HDMi) so the sound played through the speakers on my 6 - speaker DVD player. Setting up my sky stream box, it doesn't seem that I can connect in the same way since there is only 1 HDMI slot. Is it possible to connect the sound through my DVD player...by perhaps getting a new lead (there is a slot which looks similar to the optical slot I used before, but it doesn't fit)

@Adge2 Does your TV have an optical port on it? If so, connect your TV to the DVD+surround player with an optical cable and set your Sky Puck to output Dolby Digital (not Dolby Digital Plus).

I presume you have a DVD Player with a built-in surround sound amplifier? What is the make/model number?
You are probably only going to be able to achieve what you want by connecting the Sky Stream puck to your TV via HDMI then sending the audio from the TV to the DVD/Amplifier either via optical cable from the TV's optical output (if it has one) or via HDMI ARC (if the TV and DVD/Amp has ARC capability.)

Re: Connecting surround sound
You could also use an HDMI amp
Send one oupput to the TV as normal and the other to one of these, which will give you an optical output. Set the audio out on the puck to dolby digital forced.
It may well work without the HDMI amp, with just the in/out on the audio extractor
