Hi
I am moving home later this month and due to have my Sky Q installed at a newly built house, whilst speaking to electrician he suggests Sky Streaming instead.
I have just spoken to Sky and asked if I could have Straming installed instead of Q but they say it would be an upgrade and I would lose my current packages as a result it will cost me another £15 a month.
I am a little frustrated as the Streaming service is a far easier installation and avoid the cost of unsightly dish.
Why can I not change without lossing current packages??

The packages are a bit different and not 1:1. You should phone Sky and discuss what can be done for you. Perhaps you could negotiate it down.

I tried speaking to them I was passed around 3 times and eventually told as I had a prearrangeed installation that he could not do anything for me as the system would not allow them

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Topfit Be aware that Sky Stream is a very different system to Sky Q. Mostly notably not having any local recording.
Most don't consider it an upgrade, in fact Sky don't market it as such. It's just different. I certainly wouldn't pay more for it.
