Change region sky stream
How do you change the region on sky stream? Mine is set to Welsh and I cannot understand the Welsh language?

Re: Change region sky stream
Hi @1morgs
When you say region do you mean what channels you get? This is based on Skys postcode database. If you are in Wales, you will see S4C on 104 and channel 4 is on 108.
The order is set by ofcom for public service channels and you cannot change them. If your not in Wales you will need to speak to sky customer service to check your account details are correct.

Hi @mikealanr
I do live in Wales but just over the border in fact I am classed as Chester my postcode is ch, my address is Chester. I do get s4c and bbc wales etc. all the news is about wales many of the programmes are in Welsh and I do not speak Welsh. Surely there must be a way of changing it?

Re: Change region sky stream
Your only resolution is to move back to England or learn to select 108 instead of 104 if you wish to avoid S4C🤔

Re: Change region sky stream
Hi @1morgs
If you are in Wales your in Flintshire not Cheshire no matter what the start of your postcode says. I live not too far away from you in Flint, and although I don't have an 01244 phone number I still have a CH postcode!
I remember moving over the border and driving licence and bills being delivered bilingual. It's just something you have you live with. As I say the regulator Ofcom mandates the channel order of Public Service Broadcasters for each part of the UK. That is why the channel numbers are slightly different in Wales.

As @mikealanr says, that would be a statutory obligation on the platform (Sky) for the position of PSB channels in the EPG.
In respect of EPGs that provide a regionalised version for Wales, EPG providers must ensure that S4C is listed in the fourth slot on the regionalised version. Accordingly, in such cases the requirement in paragraph 8 that Channel 4 is in the fourth slot does not apply. Instead, EPG providers must ensure that Channel 4 is listed in a slot that is no lower than the eighth slot of the regionalised version of the EPG.

Re: Change region sky stream
@1morgs how so you asked a question and got an accurate answer? Regional settings on all Sky srrvices are derived from your address and cannot be changed. Your live in Wales so you get Welsh Tv Sky are not allowed to vary that. If you want to watch different BBC region you can find the channel number in this post As explained Ch4 is on 108 in Wales. You are stuck with the ITV region though.
If this bugs you set up a favourite channel list ans assign numbers 1 to 99 to whatever channels you want.
