Recently joined sky ended up with Sky Broadband Three hundred and the Essential Package didn't quite know what I was signing up for as all I wanted. Was. full fibre
anyway I want to cancel, the essential package but as the full fibre is a discounted price the person I spoke to at sky . Didn't know, whether this would mean my price would go up or down as I would lose the discount I find it very disconcerting that the operator simply didn't know whether I could keep the discounted price or not,
she continuously talked over me, so I couldn't get a word in edgeways so I asked, for this to be escalated she would not do that. As she said her supervisor wouldn't know the answer, and none of her peers would know the answer. again very dodgy answer in the end, I had to ask for the complaint procedure this person seriously needs smart training. Our sky needs to sort out their algorithms, has anybody tried to cancel, part of their package soon after joining,?

Final upshot I made a complaint to Sky and the reply I got was just as vague as the initial operator .It seems as if some of the contracts are so interwoven and entwined that nobody knows how they will unravel .Then found on the website when I press the information button that the Internet will remain at the discounted price as long as I keep the Internet with no mention of the TV,
When I phoned up and spoke to a different operator I mentioned I was still in the cool off period . nobody at Sky ever brought this up with me. even though the information is clearly in front of them. as they agreed .so I cancelled the Essential package very easily and kept my discounted Internet price hope this helps somebody else

They may have been a little naughty with their wording: typically a new broadband subscription is discounted from the regular full price whether or not television is acquired with it.
