Building Wifi
I have moved into accommodation where the building has WiFi. When setting up the puck, I can select the WiFi but it skips the option to enter the WiFi password and looks like it is setting up but then displays an error message. Should I be using an Ethernet cable to connect the puck to the main port in the wall or am I better buying broadband for my property? Also, can pair the remote without being set up? Thanks.

Such a system will often have a requirement to register device MAC addresses in advance of connection: this is a bit of a problem where the hardware details aren't visible.
This might well extend to ethernet too
It may be possible to activate the puck using a cellular hotspot and get to the appropriate screen that way, although the initial software download is substantial.
