Can I just use WiFi for my router and discard the Ethernet cable

Hi @Gos63 and welcome to the forum.  People find that an Ethernet connection can be more stable but if you have a good speed and stable WiFi then you do not need to use the Ethernet cable.

 

Personally I don't find any difference on my stream puck whether it is on WiFi or Ethernet but I have it on the latter as the cabling is already built into my apartment so I might as well use it.

You can use WiFi as long as the speed and stability of the connection is sufficient enough. Why not unplug the ethernet cable and give WiFi a go - it might work perfectly for you. Check the network settings on the puck as you may have to turn WiFi on if it's been off whilst you've been using ethernet.
