Are sky puck remotes rechargable

I was wondering are sky puck remotes rechargeable if not why not make them wireless rechargeable by placing it on the puck or what ever box u have also why not have a button on the puck and mini speaker on remote as a kind of remote control key finder as im always losing my remotes more than I lose my keys and I should receive something for these ideas lol but why has no one done this remote finder idea especially with tvs it's a nightmare loosing remotes and when batteries die any agree

@TheAlpha187 the remotes are not chargeable they take regular batteries.

On Sky Q the remotes are findable by pressing a button on the Q box the remotes send out a beeping sound allowing you to find it

I'd imagine that it's purely down to cost. Wireless charging tech all costs money and it also introduces something else that either needs to be mains connected or if it's charging via USB, a USB connector would need to be added along with the charging bits charging bits plus USB cables. Sky will also have to warranty all of this as the Pucks are loaned and then at the other end, just more waste to be recycled or disposed of.

As @Nigelb1972 indicates, that would require considerably more technology in the remote handset itself, including a much more expensive battery.

 

It's also worth considering that putting induction hardware into the puck might not be ideal for some of its other rather important functions such as WiFi input and video output.
