App or services

Why does the sky app keep saying it cannot detect my services ! is it a fault with the app o s there a problem with my services as it is now getting annoying

Then don't worry about it. The app is only really of limited use and is not updated in real time. Several people have reported it stating incorrect information in the past so just ignore it if there's nothing actually wrong.

Is your service actually working though? That's the most important thing, not what an app thinks.

Some customers on here have seen this occasionally.

 

Although it's not always seen as a problem, it does point to something not right within your local network for your Sky Stream puck not refreshing and reporting correctly at certain intervals during the day. If I recall it does a check every hour for its reporting to the MySky service checker.

Some mesh pods, local mesh VPN or third party routers have been known to cause some reporting errors.

 

The MySky app service checker runs through the day for all your Sky kit and of course you can run a manual checker, but that may still not refresh fully, keeping its previous reported issue from the last hour or so.


Saying that, if your Sky Stream puck is running ok, you can ignore the error as it's probably one of the above causing blips.

Not really sure Sky as we have seen and heard before are going to spend much time looking to resolve the reporting issue.
