After leaving the puck over night I need to turn it off by the plug and back on again for it to work

Hi @Mattvilla and welcome to the forum.
Your puck might be losing the network connection when it's in standby so go into the Settings > Start up & standby menu and make sure that the option for "Networked standby mode" is turned ON. I would also turn OFF the overnight power saving.

I have tried that but only this morning so hopefully will be ok but will update on here if not.
