Just noticed last night that when adding some ptogrammes or films to playlist it now says set to record. It may have been doing this for ages but never noticed it before. Seems to mainly be Channel 5.
Althoigh I Just added a film from Great Movies and it said that too. This is one of those split in half titles. Have they finally got round this problem?
Any other channels now doing this?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@JEFF1102 Sky have been working on making cloud recording better and more reliable . The main barrier was not technological but legal as they had to get numerous third parties to agree to allow it to happen.
I expect they will make a public announcement soon when all pucks have been pdated. It will work on most but not all channels as a few broadcasters apparently are still dithering. that Great Movies are saying it will work is encouraging as the split movies have been a pain since before Sky Stream was developed. Can you report if it does?

Added two or three films today to test it out. One says set to record but on playlist has directed me to the film on Disney+. WIll be intersting to see if it changes to a cloud recording when the film airs this afternoon.
But yes will repaort back later. Shame they cant offer an option to choose to record to cloud and give a list of what cloud recordings you have. But I guess that will not happen.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreSince the q25 Sky Stream firmware, cloud recording allows you to cloud record most channels.
The Great set of movie channels can be cloud recorded. But, when they are split, they only record the first part.
If you wish to, Great TV do have their own On deman app, not on Sky Stream yet, but kiwi will be on most TVs. The films will generally be their that have aired recently.
I have reported the Great TV failure to Sky for it to be passed on, but apart from an acknowledgement of them doing that, have so far heard nothing further.
May give them a prompt.
You can report such things to them by sending an email to the Sky Viewer relations team to report it;
ViewerR@sky.uk
They respond to emails with any updates for your queries or problems.
This used to happen with itv and the five channels, but that has been fixed now and also is circumvented as their cloud recordings link to their app driven content.
Other channels like Legend now cloud record the full episodes or films when they occasionally do it.
Remember for that channel it used to fail on Sky Q also, but eventually also recently got fixed.
If you have cloud recorded something, on your playlist page for the cloud recording, often the top tile where its has Play may not always be the channel you wish to watch it on or the original channels you selected, like you mention it's also listed in Disney+. That play is often used more as a promotion for certain apps if it has the film/series.
What you need to do do is pan down that page and look for the Available Now rail and it will show your selected cloud recording or playlist link to the channel you original requested.

@Chrisee Unfotunately the recordings from Great Movies still only recorded half of the film. But Father Of The Bride which was shown without a split did record. Its also on Disney+ and when you select it says watch on Disney+ but as @lettice said scroll down to available now and the Great Movies rrecording is there.
Tried some other split films from C5 and only half recorded.

Find out more@JEFF1102 that is a shame I know Sky are aware of split movies not recording is an issue and that it has been around for years and affected Sky Q. Not sure what they can do as it is up to the broadcaster to insert meta data to linkmthe two halves somthe system knows they are a "series". Hopefully it will get sorted one day.
