Have you updated your Skystore app to the new 6.18 version ?

 

That works fine for me with IOS 16 on an iPhone 11

I have reset my 2016 LG Smart TV to initial settings & installed Sky Store .

I noticed that it's still on version 5.63 but on Apple phone it's 6.20 . I have TV on auto updates.

Was working fine a week or so ago, now just keep getting playback unavailable.

what more do I have to do, all other stuff works fine & other apps all up to date.

mo point

in adding to library if I can't bloody play the films I've got ... help required !!

If it helps you to know - both my iPhone and 2020 LG TV are on the same Skystore versions as you. 

mine are both ok. Have you tried to delete the Skystore app from your LG (press and hold the app icon - then click on the X - if it's the same as mine )

 

Then re-download from the LG content store

The LG version is 5.3 or something, & I have deleted this numerous times and installed again .. As previous post, I put TV back to initial settings loaded all app back up ... the Sky store shows the purchases, you click on the film , starts loading then comes up with playback not available try again... but nothing

.All others apps on Tv are up to date, ie Disney+, Now TV etc ... it's just SS ... 

as I said was working fine about a week ago ....

after resetting your LG - is your LG firmware up to date with the latest version ? 

Might be worth checking with both Skystore team and LG customer support to see if there is a known issue with slightly older LG TVs

Heads Up on this issue ..

Managed to get through to Page @ Sky Store who has confirmed that there is an issue with certain LG TV's ( mine is 2016 ) & they are awaiting a fix for this ... be advised if you are getting playback issues hang fire with purchases unless you watch on other devices. No ETA for fix a moment ... so I don't need to get a new TV just yet ... will try it in a few days but advised to delete & reinstall if it doesn't work straight away ... cheers for all your help folks

Still no update on watching purchases through LG TV ... emailed Sky again this morning for an update .

Still no update & movies do not work on my TV, further email sent after no response from SS ... 

Unbelievable ... was all for SS and invested in Online Purchases but that has now gone.. physical copies all the way here, updates cause you to lose any big screen action unless you have Glass or a TV bought 3 days ago .. poor service Sky, you've lost the dressing room ..

I appreciate that this doesn't fix your 2016 LG issue @Rob343434 - but as an alternative- if you have a load of movies you can't watch - you can get a reasonably cheap Chromecast which should let you cast Skystore to your LG 

 

Even the 4K chromecast isn't a crazy price.
