I've purchased a few movies off Sky Store and taken up the free purchases as a Sky VIP member but when I went to put The Lego Batman Movie on for my kids this morning, there's a message at the top of the tile stating that the film will expire on Friday.
Does this mean that I will lose access to the film on Friday or just that I will need to download it again from Friday if I want to watch it again? I thought once you purchased a film you had it forever?!
Has anyone had the same issue or knows what this means? I've tried getting through to Sky Help but they don't have an option for this and the chatbot keeps trying to sell me Sky Glass when I ask it!! 🤦♂️
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI think I have seen this come up in the past as I think you might lose access to it if Sky doesn't have the rights to the film anymore so let us know what happens come Friday,

Any movie bought on any Content Store isn't forever .... you just have unlimited access while the Content Store holds rights to carry the movie.
Even physical DVDs or Blu-rays aren't forever they can degrade with time!
