Renting a movie
If I rent a movie on sky store.com can I watch it on my sky box

If you rent a film on the Sky website then you can not watch it via your Sky box I'm afraid as you can only watch it where you rented it. With Bu and Keep films you can view these via your Sky box but not rented films.
If you have chromecast from Google you can cast it to your TV.
If you have a PC or laptop with a HDMI port then you can connect a cable to your TV to view it.

I can add to that - if you have a recent LG TV you can download the Skystore app directly on to your TV and view on that
and as well as having a separate Chromecast- you can use the built in Chromecast on most recent Sony TVs and some JVC.
