Yes - as long as you have an HD TV you can rent and view an HD movie

Every one I looked at in the new to rent category had an SD option

SD was offered in the past!

I was looking on my Q Box in Sky Store @Exiled-in-HH 

Every rental I looked at was available in SD

I can't see an SD versions either when looking at the website so for here at least it doesn't appear as n option anymore.

Yes, and they appeared not to have access to SD options which suggested they might be using Skystore.com.

Sky boxes it appears list SD options!

I was looking in sky store and only HD were available that's why I asked the question. I don't subscribe to HD as my eyesight is bad
