Thrre is a nice easy fix for this and that is to delete it then go to your deleted folder and delete it from there as well if it appears in it. Now you can rent the film in HD and as you didn't start to watch the UHD version you should not be billed for it.

If you rented it on your Sky box, the theory is you should not be charged if you haven't viewed any of it 

 

So (and this is if you are on Sky Q) delete it, then go to your deleted recordings on your Sky Q manage menu and delete it out of there ( so it's off your hard drive) then re rent the HD version you prefer. 

Just in case, keep an eye on your bills to make sure there is only one charge.

 

I'm not used to the menu options for other Sky box formats but you should be able to,follow the same process if you are not on Sky Q
