Hi could anyone please help im trying to cast a movie rental to my tv but it won't let me but I can watch purchased movies this way just not the rental??

Although I've not used it personally, others have confirmed on here that casting via built in chrome cast works with rentals
in the help guide for Skystore it also says
"You can also watch Sky Store content on your Chromecast, simply select the Chromecast icon on the Sky Store apps or skystore.com to view your content on the big screen." This seems to refer to all content on the store
I would try to switch off and on your TV at the mains and of course make sure your JVC and your playing device are on the same network

Yes. For whatever reason (licencing I guess) although you can send purchased movies to your box - you can't send them directly if they are rented online
There are a few options for you however but it depends what you have in your house
You can cast either with a Chromecast or in to a recent Sony or JVC TV with built in Chromecast (thete may be a few other brands with built in Chromecast)
You can't use an Apple TV or screen mirroring.
If you have a recent LG TV you can download the Skystore app on there and watch on your TV
If you have a PC or laptop with an HDMI output then you can plug that in to your TV

Hi thanks for your response I have a uve with built in chrome cast it will allow me to cast and watch movies that I have purchased but when I'm trying to watch the rental it's keep saying an error occurred during playback and wasn't sure if an issue with watching rentals as everything else works fine?

Unfortunately I could still not get this to work so had to contact the sky team they too said it was strange as everything else was playing, so in the end I had to purchase the rental again through my sky q box and sky have said they will credit my account for 1 of the purchases!. The movie (Godzilla vs Kong) my son loved and would recommend! Thanks for all your help 👍
