Having used the sky store for years via an LG TV, I recently updated to a Samsung TV and bought a chromecast to stream to. Around two to three months ago casting stopped working through both my wifes and my samsung phones (S21 & S22) all latest softwares/apps. An error occurred during playback (error code 5000) appears everytime as it attempts to play the film, it simply doesn't work anymore.
Sky store does not allow screen mirroring so it's very frustrating. The chromecast is on the latest available version. We won't be using sky store again unless this is resolved.
Does anyone have any suggestions as I'd like to get this addressed.

There is no known fix this as others have posted on here previously regarding this particular error and as of yet nobody has come up with a solution.

Using a Roku streaming device may regain access to Sky Store😔

There was meant to be a big software update for the Sky Store iPhone app last week (14th November) according to the splash screen in the app, has anyone received it yet? Rumour has it on another post this issue was updating the DRM to resolve the Error 5000 issue, hence why all downloads were going to be removed.
Have been refreshing my app updates for days now and still haven't got the Sky Store update available!

Thank you for all the replies, hopefully someone in development sorts it out soon as I don't want to lose all my digital media.

I’m really frustrated with this issue. I had canceled Sky Q and was using it to cast to my Sony TV. But then, I started getting error 5000. I was eagerly waiting for the 14th November update, and it finally came yesterday, but it’s still not working! I’m still getting the same error.
I’m a paying customer, and I was expecting this service to work as advertised. Can someone please help me understand my rights as a consumer in this situation?
