E5000 code while trying to cast a purchased film through a lightning vga cable

Can anyone help me, I'm trying to cast a purchased film using a lightning vga to hdmi cable and I keep getting the e5000 error code

Hi @Sadie 

 

Could you clarify - is it a premiere movie - one of the new ones. These can't usually be cast 

 

Depending on the protection linked to the movie - your set up may not be able to cast via your lighting / HDMI adapter
