Added a card to account to purchase something. It declined card but still took £1.30

Hi. I added a card to my account on Saturday to purchase something off sky store. I kept telling me to check the expiry date so it wouldn't let me purchase. I checked my bank account and sky have taken £1.30 from my account. Any ideas why this would have happened please?

Do you mean you added some credit to your Sky Store account ?

Is the £1.30 still pending in your bank account @Kelly1784 ?

 

if so and if it doesn't actually complete as a debit then I would guess it is just a test transaction so Sky can tell if the card is valid and yours.

Hi Caesarome. No i added a bank card to the account to purchase a film. But it said to check the expiry date (which was correct) but it still wouldn't go past that page and  wouldn't let me purchase anything.

Hi Mike+Simmonds. No it isn't pending. Sky have taken the £1.30 from my account. I have phoned them up they are looking in to it. I just wondered if i could get any other help/info while i was waiting for their email back (which could take up to 7 days).
