watching back recorded programmes

Hi,

We can watch programmes on TLC and record them but when we wish to watch the recorded programmes from the channel it tells us that we have to upgrade which we already have in our package! Any ideas?

TLC went free to air in January 2026, but only the SD version is included with Sky unless you have the "Sky HD" add on. Do you have the "Sky HD" add on?

So to clarify, are you recording the TLC HD channel (which you won't be able to watch as you don't have the HD add on), or the SD version?

TLC HD is on channel 133, with SD on 828.

In the UK, both the SD and HD version of TLC went free to air in January so it should be possible to watch and record both versions with no subscription or particular pack needed.   However I believe TLC is still encrypted in Ireland.

If you look on https://www.lyngsat.com/muxes/Astra-2F_UK_12382-H.html TLC UK in both SD and HD is highligted in colours meaning 'clear' while TLC Ireland is 'encrypted'.
