sky q box

for the past few days my sky q box is constantly freezing and won't load up apps ,recordeding keeps messing around and even on live TV it keeps freezing, I can't tell you how many times I have had to restart the box

Hi @kayharley1990 Try rebooting your router by removing the power cable for 30 sec then reconnect to reboot, then reboot your main SKYQ box by turning the power off at the socket for 30 sec then turn back on to reboot?

Hi @kayharley1990 

If you are still having issues try a Network Reset on the Main Q box
Network Reset found in Q box Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Follow instructions to connect to router by WiFi.


If on Sky Broadband you will be asked to press the WPS button on the Sky Router (not the main Q box as the Network reset will start the main Box WPS automatically).   Make sure that you press the router WPS  button and not the router reset button.

If on 3rd party broadband then you need to enter the SSID and password for the router 2.4 Ghz band.

I have done all this ,I'm with virgin broadband and I have redone the network lots of times but still nothing 

and refresh the apps

but even watching live TV it ends up freezing

Any chance you can connect the Q box to your router by Ethernet?

If you are not using any Q WiFi minis have you turned off all the Q box WiFi?

right I have tryed unplugged the power cable, I have restarted my broadband, I have unplugged its all at the wall and waitting then turned it all back on 

 

there is nothing wrong with the Internet connection it connection is completely fine 

 

it's the sky q box it's self as it that ,

that keeps freezing
