How can I completely disable the PIN on my Sky Q. I'm being ask to enter my pin during the day to watch the Simpsons? And not just the Simpsons other shows as well before the watershed.
Really, really annoying. I have disabled the PIN for everything under parental controls and accessibility. But it still asks. What gives?

Ofcom rules and regulations I'm afraid so it can't be disabled completely.

@29+Lismore As the others have said, you can't, but you can change your PIN to something simple like "1111"

The Parental Controls are the additional levels which Sky offers. As the name implies, Mandatory Daytime Protection (defined by the Broadcasting Code) cannot be removed, switched off or bypassed. Its misapplication to content such as The Simpsons is undoubtedly annoying, but that doesn't change the situation regarding MDP.

The card is in the side of your main Sky Q receiver

If this entering a pin number to watch programs on Sky is Ofgem rules, how come the same rules don't apply to BBC1/2 I.TV ,Channel 4 and channel 5 ? (removed)

Ofgem may be a bit stumped if you ask them. Ofgem is the Office of Gas and Electricity Markets.

@terex because as far as I am aware these channels don't show pre-watershed programmes before the watershed or during the day otherwise they would be behind the mandatory pin

I meant ofcom not ofgem. My bad

Try watching a BBC1 recorded post watershed programme before 9pm, I think you'll find you have to enter your PIN

Ofcom application of the Broadcasting Code absolutely applies to the PSB channels: if anything they are more strictly regulated because of their special status within the UK media hierarchy.
However, by definition PSB channels never broadcast post-watershed content prior to 21:00 because the whole concept of the watershed itself was defined for public service broadcasting long before satellite television was a thing.
